Meet Our Founders and Directors
Navneet Kaur
Hello, I'm Navneet, and my passion for childcare dates back to 2007. I have traversed a remarkable path, evolving from a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher and compassionate Daycare Worker to a diligent Supervisor. Today, I am honoured to stand as the Director of The Gr8 Start Academy – Day Care and After School since 2017.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Arts, and the esteemed Childcare Development Supervisor Certification from the Province of Alberta. Additionally, I hold an Emergency Child Care First Aid certification from the Red Cross, ensuring the safety and well-being of every child under our care.
As a mother, I intimately understand the unique needs of children. This personal experience fuels my commitment to creating an environment at The Gr8 Start Academy that goes beyond traditional childcare. It's a space where your child not only learns and grows but also feels the warmth and care of a second home.
The Gr8 Start Academy is dedicated to providing a holistic approach to childcare, combining education, play, and social interaction. Our team of passionate educators and caregivers share a common goal – to lay the foundation for a successful and happy future for your child.
Tejinderpal Singh Dhami
With a robust educational background comprising a B.Com, Business Management Diploma, a 2-Year Diploma in Early Learning & Childcare here in Edmonton, and a 3-Year Diploma in Hotel Management, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the realm of childcare and education. My journey spans 14 years of dedicated management and a heartfelt commitment to the well-being and development of children.
Having worked alongside Navneet since 2017, our collaboration aims to create an environment that goes beyond traditional childcare. The Gr8 Start Academy is more than just a Daycare; it's a place where every child is embraced with care, encouragement, and a personalized approach to learning.
With a collective experience of building three Daycares from the ground up, we bring not only expertise but a genuine desire to create a home away from home for the children in our care. Our journey is fuelled by a passion for early education and a belief in fostering an environment that nurtures growth, curiosity, and joy.
